Thoughts from Samantha

Hey everyone! It is SO hard to believe that it's been more than a month since the last week of camp. I went home right after the end of week 10 and started back at CSU Stanislaus that Monday. I am working on attaining my Liberal Studies major and eventually my teaching credential. This past summer was honestly one of the best summers of my life! The LORD worked so powerfully in our staff and gave me many opportunities to have great conversations with all of you. This summer, I was reminded again and again that I am not in control of my own life. At the beginning of summer I struggled with feelings of inadequacy for my position as a Pawn. It was amazing to watch God show me that I was in the perfect place to be serving Him for the summer- I knew that I couldn't do it on my own and that I would have to lean on God every day of the summer. It was also neat to have Him remind me that HE was the one that gave me the position as a pawn; I would not have been a Pawn if it wasn't what He wanted.

I am involved in the High School group at my church and have a great group of girls in my small group. I am thrilled to see how God works in me this next year and excited to work through my plans for next summer!
